Every Omega lesson is a one-to-one session with an AI tutor that knows your child’s mastery map — what she has proven, where she is stuck, and which prerequisite is missing. It teaches by questions and hints, by text or full-duplex voice, and it is built to refuse the one thing that would make it useless: giving the answer.

The lesson opens with retrieval — questions about what the child already knows that the new topic builds on. Memory before novelty.
The tutor teaches by questions and worked examples. When the child is stuck, a three-rung hint ladder: restate the problem, point at the concept, show a different worked example. Never the answer.
The child works problems with the tutor watching — on the sketchpad if it helps, with the tutor reading the drawn steps. Advancing requires unaided correct work, not self-report.
Five blind questions: no hints, no per-question feedback until the end. The score is real, and it writes evidence to the mastery map.
The same tutor, out loud.
Tap the microphone and the lesson becomes a real spoken conversation — the child talks, the tutor answers, interruptions and all. Voice lessons run the same pedagogy and write to the same mastery record as typed lessons, and assessments always come back to the screen so the score is earned, not chatted past.
Audio streams directly from the browser to the speech provider; Omega stores only transcripts and duration.
A give-up is parked and marked incorrect — and the topic comes back later as a fresh variation. Nothing is quietly solved for the child.

Mastery
Lesson assessments are graded work: streaks of unaided correct answers move a topic toward mastered; a passed mastery check seals it.
Misconceptions
Wrong math answers map to a catalog of known misconceptions, so the parent report says what the error reveals and how to address it — not just “incorrect.”
Review
Results set each topic’s next review date. The tutor’s work today decides what the review quiz asks in two weeks.
