Placement, then a path, then proof.
These are the years Omega is built around. A placement quiz maps your child against 1,590 curriculum topics and their prerequisite graph. From that map, Omega sequences a learning path per subject, teaches each topic with a five-phase lesson, and gates “mastered” behind an actual mastery check — then brings topics back for review right before memory research says they would fade.
Five steps, repeated for every topic.
Nothing here is a black box. Each step writes evidence to your child’s mastery map, and you can see all of it.
About eight questions per subject walk the prerequisite graph and find the frontier of what your child already knows. Correct answers credit prerequisites; misses descend the chain.
Each daily plan is generated from the mastery map and your methodology — the next topic on the learning path, due reviews, and extension or scaffolding where the data says so.
A five-phase lesson: recall first, then instruction by questions and hints, guided practice, independent practice, and a blind five-question assessment. The tutor never states the answer.
Regular work caps at “practicing.” Mastered requires passing a five-question mastery check at 80% or better, grounded in the topic’s evidence criteria.
A scheduler based on memory research brings each topic back for review just before it would fade. Missed questions return later as fresh variations.
A tutor the child can talk to, and a sketchpad it can read.
Lessons run by text or by real-time voice — a full spoken conversation with the same tutor, following the same rules: hints, not answers. For math, the child can draw her working on a sketchpad, and the tutor reads the steps and coaches from what it sees, not just the final number.
When a quiz answer is wrong, Omega does not just mark it wrong. Math distractors are tagged to a catalog of known misconceptions, so you see what the error reveals — the mistaken belief behind it and how to address it.
“Mastered” is not a feeling and not a timer. It is a passed check — and it stays visible on the map.
Points for real work. Rewards you define.
Points
Children earn points only for genuinely completed and verified work — skipped activities earn nothing. The balance is theirs to see.
Rewards
You define the rewards catalog — screen time, an outing, a purchase — and set the prices. Omega handles the ledger and the redemption.
Shared Plans
Borrow a day that worked from another homeschool family, or publish your own. Names and personal details are stripped automatically before anything goes public.
Run the placement quiz. See the map. Generate the first plan.
The whole loop is free during early access — no card, no trial clock.
